The Jersey Cattle Society are extremely grateful to the Stubbs Family at Coldeaton Jerseys for hosting the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
A truly special day was had with huge amounts of thought and effort gone in to the organising. The day started with the formal AGM, followed by an introduction to Classification by Meurig James.
The 2023-2024 Milk Production Competition results were then awarded, with a special presentation given by Robert Hunter to our retiring Chairman, Mark Logan following ten years of dedication to the Board. This time being equalled by retiring Board Member Mark Davis, who was also thanked for his huge efforts.
Meurig James then lead attendees to the field where discussions and demonstrations were had over classification and the points system.
A lovely lunch followed of meats and salads with Coldeaton Ice Cream and milkshakes as a real treat.
Trouw Nutrition supported the event providing a discussion on forage quality, which was exceptionally informative.
The day was wrapped up with a walk of the herd including the beef calves and the processing unit.
