Milk Production Competitions
The prestigious JCS Milk Production Competitions are held every year and awards are given as outlined below.
All but one of the Society’s milk production competitions are now conducted by automatic entry using the milk recording information held in the JCS UK Herd Book for our members.
Barnowl Trophy - Best Female Family. The Barnowl Family Trophy is the only milk production competition that cannot be automated and requires an entry to be submitted to the Society. The Barnowl Family Trophy is for the Best Female Family. The entry from is available, please download the form by clicking on the button below.
2021-2022 Winner:
Alderston Farming with Alderston Allstar Harebell
Awarded for the highest lifetime kilograms of butterfat from a cow passing 50,000kgs of milk in the recording year.
2021-2022 Winner:
The Hunter Family with Clydevalley Ipod Flora
Awarded to the highest kilograms of butterfat and protein in a CM qualified lactation.
2021-2022 Winner:
The Hunter Family with Clydevalley Ipod Flora
Awarded to the highest kilograms of butterfat and protein in a CM qualified lactation. Dam to be RM qualified. Cow & Dam to be Bred by owner.

Awarded to the Highest kilograms of butterfat and protein in a CM qualified lactation, cow classified Excellent.
2021-2022 Winner:
DW & GN Renfree with Hennikers Global Fan Milki
Awarded to the Highest kilograms of milk from a cow classified Excellent during the recording year.
2021-2022 Winner:

Awarded to the Highest kilograms of butterfat and protein in 3 consecutive CM lactations.
2021-2022 Winner:
Alderston Farming with Alderston Vernon Nectar
Awarded to the Highest kilograms of butterfat and protein in 6 consecutive CM lactations.
2021-2022 Winner:
Alderston Farming with Alderston Crocket Tanzania
Awarded to the Highest lifetime yield of butterfat and protein.
2021-2022 Winner:
DW & GN Renfree with the Milki Family
Awarded to Three females, classified, linked to a common dam with three generations, combined total of butterfat and protein in the last completed lactations (305 days or less) in the relevant recording year.
