Judges Workshops

Judges Workshops 2022 - Promoting the strength of the Jersey breed in the show ring.

As a Judge you are at the forefront of promoting and showcasing the very best of the Jersey breed and with shows now recommencing in earnest, the Society will be hosting three Judges Workshops early in the year. These three workshops are open to all JCS members aged 16 and over and will be taking place on:

  • Saturday 30th April - Host: Mark Logan "Clandeboye" (Venue: Clandeboye Estate, 11 Estate Road, Bangor, Northern Ireland BT19 1RU)
  • Thursday 5th May - Host: Steven Bland "Clifton" (Venue: Abbott Lodge, Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria, CA10 2HD)
  • New date to be confirmed - Host: Mark Davis "Rivermead" (Venue: Westcott Farm, Westleigh, Tiverton EX16 7EW)

Each workshop will be informal, friendly and non-competitive, starting at 11.00am and finishing at approx. 2.30pm.

Our aim is to provide everyone with the opportunity, whether you are a seasoned Judge, just starting out or interested in becoming a Judge, to freely discuss the strength of the Jersey breed, your judging and practice your reasoning skills.

There will be no charge for the day, all that we ask is that you bring your own pack lunch, and we will provide the teas and coffees.

If would you like join us at one or more of the above workshops, to practice your judging and reasoning skills in an informal environment whilst meeting like-minded Jersey breeders, please contact either Robert Hunter on 07774 134787 or Emma Horn on 07971 020817 / emma@thejcs.uk.  We look forward to hearing from you and are here to answer any questions you may have about the workshops.
